Tears of the Phoenix Ink

We're getting ready to branch out with the launch of a literary magazine.

The purpose of the quarterly magazine is the same of that of our anthologies: to help promote writers and artists, regardless of previous writing credentials.

We are currently accepting works for consideration. As always, our main criteria is that it is well-written. We accept works in any genre and any "rating." What we do not want is anything trite or predictable; in fact, the more unique and "outside the box," the better. We want to read stories that make us go, "Wow, I wish I had written that!"

What we will are looking for:

Poems
Flash fiction
Short stories (under 5,000 words)
Essays (under 5,000 words)
Creative nonfiction (under 5,000 words)
Artwork

We are also looking for artists interested in illustrating specific stories and providing cover art. For more information, email us at info@tearsofthephoenixink.org.

Works should, in some way, related to the following themes, however you choose to interpret them:

Fall 2009: Learning
Winter 2009: Endings and beginnings
Spring 2010: Love
Summer 2010: Heat

We will consider previously published pieces and simultaneous submissions.

For more information on how to submit, click here. Please be sure to read our submissions guidelines and publication agreement before submitting.

At this time, as Ink will be ad-free initially and we are a nonprofit, there is no payment for use of pieces.
